Licorice Cautions

Cautions:

"The presence of adrenocortical-like steroids and , according to several European

    studies, estradiol and estrone, make it a little risky for drinking during pregnancy.

    It may aggravate menopausal symptoms, but conversely it has effectively helped

    them, double conversely it frequently has no effect at all, so its use is a moot

   "Large doses may cause sodium retention and potassium loss leading to water
