Burdock Cautions

Caution:

"Although not an emmenagogue as such, the seeds may aggravate spotting in the

   earlier stages of pregnancy and should only be employed in the last trimester

   when needed, particularly when an inappropriate amount of ankle swelling is

   present and preeclampsia mild enough that full eclampsia is inlikely." Ref. C p.45-46
